Here’s some of our top tips.

Walking

There’s a guided walk trail for everyone. Or create your own. Graffiti, Crafts, Food-lovers, Heritage-listed buildings, Green-scapes, or Purple-hues of Jacaranda in bloom.

If you’re more keen to explore city-central, the City of Perth  has a range of free walking tours in and around the city and it’s the perfect way to learn about local history, indigenous culture, and the arts.

Running

Take to the great outdoors or check out your local attractions on-foot. Head to a pristine white sandy beach, or explore bush walking trails to explore the natural surrounds in and around Perth including hills, national parks, and Rottnest Island. 

Cycling

If you’d like to cover more ground, and enjoy the wind in your hair, and enjoy tasty treats along the way, then cycling might be for you. Check out one of the many cycling trails available from Kings Park, Beaches, inner-city neigbourhoods, hill trails or local vineyards. There’s dedicated cycling lanes for road use, or share the footpath with walkers, or dirt trails to explore local nature reserves.

Sun, Surf and Swimming

Perth has some of the best watering holes and white sandy beaches to enjoy a range of water sports from snorkelling, swimming, kayaking in gentle waters.

For the more active try swimming, body, board, paddle and kite-surfing, or running on the beaches. And wrap up the day with a picnic and watch the sunset.

Welcome to outdoor group training!
Check out the many options for group fitness training and events from your local council, your health insurer (such as HBF), and local gym introductory sessions led by qualified Personal Trainers. There’s a fitness group or recreation event to suit your training goals and ability. What’s more many are free!
